Mara is a Black and Indigenous photographer, filmmaker, and activist currently based in the Bay Area. She studies filmmaking at Columbia College Chicago with a concentration in directing and screenwriting. She is committed to creating art for marginalized groups of people that shows a raw and vulnerable expression of their existence and continued survival.
